The Gregory Gallery was founded in 1988 in Washington D.C. by Gregory Vinitsky. Seven years later, in 1994 the gallery moved to New York City.

We have been specialists in Twentieth Century Russian art and the art from other former Soviet Union countries for almost 30 years.  The Gregory Gallery is particularly well known for its expertise in the artists of the second half of the Twentieth Century, particularly the Soviet non-conformist artists of the late 1950’s to 1991.

We also showing several artists from the second wave of American abstract expressionists movement from 1950s  to 1980s.

The Gregory Gallery has been a consistent and major source for rare works in all media of this period, many of which are now in important private and public collections.
The Gregory Gallery also provides beginning or advanced collection consultation, curatorial and professional purchasing and selling services.  Over the past years, we have curated more than one hundred exhibitions.
