Vladimir Nikolayevich Nemukhin  (1925-2016)

Vladimir Nikolayevich Nemukhin was born in 1925 in Moscow.  Studied under P. Sokolov from 1942 - 1945. Studied at Surikov Institute. Member of Lionozovo artist’s group of nonconformist artists 1958-1973. Exhibiting since late 1950s.  Leading member of Moscow nonconformist art movement in 1960s-1980s. He was iconic figure in nonconformist movement during the  Soviet times and also in post Soviet period.  For many collectors his expertise and confirmation of authenticity of paintings by his deceased friends like A. Zverev,  D. Krasnopevtsev,  B. Sveshnikov,  V. Weisberg and others  was invaluable.  During the 1990s he was living and working in Germany.
